Tragic Magic by Wesley Brown is a novel originally published in 1978 and is told through a series of flashbacks. A haunted Melvin Ellington makes his way back to New York City from Pennsylvania, where he served time for refusing to be drafted into the Vietnam War. This illustration was for the book review of the classic novel.
